Sheffield United let a commanding lead slip, and then looked on for a Bramall Lane defeat against Crewe, before salvaging a draw in the end.

With half an hour on the clock Sheffield United were in complete control with goals from Shaun Miller (4), against his former side, and Harry Maguire (30) leaving them two-goals up.

An inspired three-minute period prior to half time saw Crewe score not once, but twice through Mark Ellis’ (42) follow up from an effort that hit the bar and Mathias Pogba (45) to see the sides go into the break at two-two.

Crewe completed an incredible comeback to go three-two up minutes into the second half when Chuks Aneke (47) scored.

A 3-3 draw was rescued by Nick Blackman (51) shortly after, with The Blades disappointed not to have been awarded a penalty and a chance to win.
