Blades Beat Hull City For Major Coup

|

Sky Sports News has announced that Sheffield United have completed the loan signing of Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Oliver Norwood

The report suggests that the former Norwich City midfielder will join initially on loan until January before completing a £2million move.

Norwood, 27, who spent most of last season at Fulham on loan, and helped guide them to a Championship Play-Off Final victory, could make his debut at home to Hull City on Tuesday night in the Carabao Cup.

The Tigers themelves had bids rejected this summer from Brighton but looks set to join the Blades who are need of a new midfielder, following Lee Evans departure last Friday to Wigan.

Vital View;

Norwood is an exceptional and recognised midfielder in the Championship and with the likes of John Fleck, Mark Duffy and the eventual return of Paul Coutts will fit in just well. This is a great coup for United after he proved to be a catalyst in Fulham’s promotion push last season.
