Despite obviously having one eye of their FA Cup quarter-final this weekend, Sheffield United continued their great form as they swept aside play-off chasing Peterborough United 2-0 at Bramall Lane.

Blades boss Nigel Clough made six changes to the side that won at MK Dons on Saturday but it couldn`t stop them making it eight wins in a row in all competitions.

Ben Davies scored his first Sheffield United goal since joining on loan from Derby County last month when he fired home a free-kick in the opening minutes of the second half.

Chris Porter continued his goalscoring form as he netted his eighth goal of the season in the closing minutes.

The 2-0 win also made it six clean sheets in a row since Mark Howard returned to the side in goal.

The win for the blades moves them up into tenth place and they are now just eight points off a play-off place, an unbelievable turnaround after being second bottom in League One less than a month ago.
