Kevin Blackwell expressed his delight at finishing as the top side in the steel city this season, but insists the hard work begins now.
Speaking following the Blades 3-0 victory at Ipswich Town on Sunday, Blackwell showed little sympathy for blue half of the City who will begin next season in League 1
“Sheffield is a city blessed with two massive clubs but I`m the Sheffield United manager and as long as we finish higher than Wednesday, then I`m happy.”
However, despite the victory, the Blades boss knows that the activity over the summer is crucial and is looking forward to the recruitment drive for 2011.
“I`m sick of hearing and reading about summer holidays. We don`t deserve a holiday. Yes, players need to recover physically and mentally but there will be no gallivanting for me.
“My work starts now. I`m not a great one for using the phone but I hope the biggest bill the club gets this summer is my phone bill.”
