Big day on Sunday

It`s our first derby in a few years with our neighbours over at the pig pen in S6. I was hoping to get to this match but with a forty-two pound price tag and a very limited allocation on away tickets it`s a bit impossible, so I, like many others, will be glued to Sky Sports on Sunday for the game. Obviously the twenty`s plenty campaign didn`t manage a lot last season after the FSF brought it up. Maybe we can repay the compliment when they visit BDTBL and over charge them as well?

I can see why we have allocations but not that small, seeing as though Leeds have been given more and cheaper tickets for their visit to Swillsborough. Mind you I do remember back to a derby match in the mid-nineties where I was in the south stand at BDTBL, and for some reason there was a section of Wendy fans in that stand. I know it was supposed to be a “Family stand”, but half time was interesting going onto the concourse for my pie and Bovril having to dodge running battles and police flying all over the place!

Last weekend`s defeat at home to Norwich was a bit harsh on us, but looking at the line-ups we had with players available it was quite clear to see why we struggled. Ched`s only fifty-sixty percent fit and was the only lad we could field up front, short of me sticking a pair of shorts on and coming out of retirement haha.

I reckon CW is playing his cards close to his chest with team selection and who`s available to make it, I am sure most of the squad will be itching to get a chance to play in such a big game, none more so than Sharp. It will make my day and probably the most of the United following if Sharp starts and gets a goal, I`m sure the Leppings Lane end would go nuts!

I`m going for a United win, I`ve seen Wednesday on telly a few times this season and they do look garbage, they were lucky last weekend to get a draw, but I reckon if we put the pressure on that we have been playing with, they will be pegged back and struggle against us.

I`m missing the mid-week match at home to Wolves as well, got a course to attend. I`ve missed the Derby County match already due to my wife booking a holiday without looking at the footy fixtures, now this one`s my fault as I booked this course prior to the season being announced? Doh!

Anyway, I hope everyone that`s going stays safe and enjoys the day out.

UTB!!
