Sheffield United continued their resurgence with a hard fought win at home against Swindon Town.

In a tight game, Jose Baxter made it two goals in two games as his looping header found the back of the net halfway through the second half.

The blades started the game well with Tony McMahon and Baxter both having efforts on goal in the opening quarter of the game.

Swindon finished the half on top and Long had to make a good save to deny Ryan Mason and both Alex Pritchard and Grant Hall went close.

The blades came out of the traps well in the second half, Ryan Flynn firing just wide and Chris Porter went closest of all to opening the scoring when his effort hit a post.

Baxter scored the only goal of the game when he headed in after Flynn had headed across goal.

The blades defence stood strong in the final quarter, limiting Swindon to long-range efforts although they had a fright in injury time when Nathan Byrne went down in the penalty area but the Swindon sub was booked for diving.

Another good three points for United who climbed one place in the League One table.
