Stead’s arrival at Bramall Lane was hardly greeted by outpourings of joy. Many thought Warnock had lost his marbles if I’m honest. However, Stead soon won over the Lane faithful with some fantastic displays in the Premiership. Great goals v West Ham and Charlton seemed to have secured survival and no-one gave more against Wigan when he was so brave when equalising.
However, Stead is too tall, too quick, too good an all round player for Robson’s taste and it seems he wants to move him on.
Jon, please don’t let this clown force you out of the club. Bide your time, wait for Kevin McCabe to finally see sense and rid our club of him, and you can then be a major part of the recovery process. He’s done enough damage already, don’t allow him to add your departure to an ever lengthening charge sheet.
