Kazim-Richards has expressed his surprise and delight at swapping an uncertain place in Brighton’s reserve side for the bright lights of the Premiership. Colin Kazim-Richards (CKR) has now managed two Premiership starts for his new club and told the official site how happy he is at his new home, stating, ‘Everything about this club is brilliant for me’.
However, he did add that he was surprised to be in the first team quite so quickly, ‘I knew that if I did well and showed plenty of effort then the manager would give me a chance eventually. But I didn’t expect it to come so soon at Arsenal’.
CKR also went on to praise Sheffield United supporters stating, ‘The United fans have been absolutely fantastic’. He reserved special mention for the sheer volume of noise made when United grabbed their dramatic last minute winner against Middlesbrough, ‘I have never heard anything quite like it- the ground just exploded!’
