Sheffield United make a short trip to South Yorkshire rivals Rotherham United on Saturday midday, with the Blades looking to avenge their 1-0 loss at Bramall Lane before the World Cup break earlier in the season.
The Blades are in excellent form winning seven of their last eight league games, and drawing one. But before this unbeaten streak developed, Rotherham United handed them a 1-0 defeat at Bramall Lane by a former Blades target Ben Wiles.
Paul Heckingbottom’s men are unbeaten in six away from home, holding the joint-best away record in the Championship this season achieving 27pts from 14 games.
Rotherham United come into the South Yorkshire derby in poor form winning just once in eight league games, and losing four times in that period. Despite the poor form, the Millers will have a chance to do the double over their local rivals for the first time since the 1980’s.
United have registered the highest expected goals overall this season, and in contrast, Rotherham have registered the worst expected goals conceded number in the league.
The Millers are currently 20th and 5pts above the drop zone. According to the infogol model, Rotherham United should be sat at the bottom of the league, and likewise, they are forecasted to finish at the bottom of the pile come the end of the season.
Meanwhile United are forecasted to stay on course and finish in 2nd place.
