A Bad Result

Well, I was expecting a difficult match yesterday but wasn`t expecting a 4-1 loss. It appears we got hit on the break every time, what with us pushing the wing-backs up in our attacking play.

EEL seemed to have a bad second half, listening to the commentary on BBC Radio Sheffield, and it was obvious that the defence didn`t cope very well with Walsall`s play. Moore fluffed a catch as well which didn`t help matters. It`s the third time this season that Walsall have beaten us, and appears they are our bogey side of the teams out of League One.

Reading the match stats we should have comfortably won this game with more possession, shots and shots on target as well as corners. It wasn`t to be though and we`ve dropped a vital three points which could have kept the gap between us and Scunny at four points. As it is now Scunthorpe are hot on our heels with us having a one point lead at the top.

Having said that though, we were on a six match unbeaten run and have had a good run of results to get us to where we are under Chris Wilder`s guidance this season.

Both Bolton and Scunthorpe have a few difficult matches ahead of them in my opinion, we have three home matches coming up against Gillingham, Fleetwood, and Wimbledon. Without putting a jinx on it, we should secure the points against these three at home with the Bramall Lane faithful being the twelfth man behind the team. Hopefully we can stretch this lead at the top and the next two teams below us slip up against their opposition.

Anyway, back to the Lane on Saturday and looking forward to getting back to winning ways.

UTB!!
