Sheffield United had to wait a while to turn our dominance over Bolton Wanderers last Saturday into victory, but Chris Wilder’s side did just that with two second half goals.

Having finally captured long term target Scott Hogan from Aston Villa on deadline day, the 26-year-old didn’t get on the pitch with the performance of David McGoldrick and Billy Sharp who both got themselves on the scoresheet to return all three points.

Statistics website Whoscored had nine players with seven-plus ratings from the game given our efforts, but the clear standout player for them was once again Oliver Norwood who took their star man award with a score of 8.12.

Completing our top five best performers in their eyes were Sharp (7.89), John Egan (7.68), McGoldrick (7.57) and George Baldock (7.53).

Special mentions for John Fleck, Enda Stevens, Chris Basham and Jack O’Connell who got seven or above.

Onto the next one with a three point gap to the automatic places.
