1 Day to Go Until Big Announcement

|

The wait is over. Tomorrow at 9:00am the much anticipated fixtures for the Premier League will be announced, with football fans around the globe eagerly waiting who they will face on the opening day of the season, and those important ‘local derbies.’

For supporters of Sheffield United a 12 year wait to witness top flight football again will come to an end when the new season starts on 10th August. As a fan, it seems a lifetime since that fateful defeat at home to Wigan.

Fixtures for the Premier League will be announced at 9:00am on Thursday, 13th June 2019.

It will be exciting to see who United face on the opening day but with improvements being made to Bramall Lane to bring it up to Premier League requirements, it is understood that the Blades are likely to face their first opposition away from home.

There will be some notable changes to next season’s Premiership by the use of Video Assisted Referee (aka VAR) and the much discussed winter break which will see United free of a fixture for one weekend during the month of February.

The 20 teams which will contest the 2019/20 Premier League season are;

Arsenal, Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Brighton & Hove Albion, Burnley, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Everton, Leicester City, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Norwich City, Sheffield United, Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur, Watford, West Ham United, Wolverhampton Wanderers.
